    Description

From an estate --- this person was collector of scores of different pins from the 1910's - 1940's.
I have a bunch of these, they are in great shape, sort of a bronze colored metal. They are 2-3/8" long an 3/4" tall. In great shape. Looks like he collected, threw them in a box and stored away for 75 years.
Watch my store for many more unique and rare pins, what a great piece of history.
This one could have been from one of the 1930-1940's convention of the American Retail Coal Association. The ARCA was a group of local, state, and regional coal associations located in 27 states across the U.S. and represented coal merchants who marketed the majority of retail coal each year.
In the first half of the 20th century, the retail coal industry, which included all coal that was used for residential and commercial use, made up approximately 20% of the coal market. The Chicago-based association was also part of the American Retail Federation, which was made up of more than 800,000 retail outlets across the country.
