    Description

    Rare little item. Victorian needle packet holder with pin cushion lid. The falling sides collapse when you remove the lid to reveal green silk lined panels containing the needle packets, with a central thimble holder .
    The outside of the box is decorated with adorable printed panels depicting beautiful Scenes of Nurnberg ,(in english, the city of Nuremberg). Picture of a young girl inside lid, bottom is flower pattern, which carries over inside. 2 bone or bakelite

    , with 4 long needles, and 4 packs of small needles, which look to be open. This Etui was brought back from Germany by my father in the early '50's as a gift for his mother. He was in the Army, stationed in Nuremberg during the Korean Conflict.
    Condition is fair for the age, with cardboard, and printed paper all in good condition but showing wear on the outside, silk on top showing signs of wear. The inside being fair. Please see photos for clarification. M
