    Description

Antique Straw Work Crochet Hook/ Needle /Bodkin Case
    Continental * Circa 1880
This antique case has beautifully detailed zig zag designs made with mosaic designs of delicate straw work.
It's hard to know what sort of case it was supposed to be as this one holds needles, a cow bone (bovine) bodkin and three gilded crochet hooks.
The straw is in amazing condition with no loss at all that I can see.
The interior barrel is red stained cardboard and it fits together snugly, measures 5" long and was bought in England. The bodkin was stained a reddish brown color and is 3 3/8" long. The crochet hooks are gilded steel (attract a magnet). They are 4 1/2" long and have ball finials on top with faceted like designs on the shanks. All are in great condition.
I stand behind everything that I offer and
    guarantee
that it is exactly as presented.
