    Description

A legendary CD player from the days when Pioneer made some of the world's best hifi equipment. Stable platter mechanism (with the disc loaded upside down), excellent build quality, separate power supplies for analog and digital sections, resin vibration damping base, totally separate left and right analog sections, etc. Sounds almost as good as the PD-95 to my ears! And weighs in around 25 pounds—a true sign of quality.
The laser pickup assembly (PEA1030) and spindle motor in this unit have been replaced with genuine, unused Pioneer parts.
In addition, internal adjustments were made with an oscilloscope to optimize playback, the laser lens of the new pickup was secured with silicone glue, wire routing was improved with cable ties and shorter wire paths, the aluminum stable platter mechanism was lubricated, and internal connections and outputs were cleaned with electronic contact cleaner. The player
was then tested for several weeks of regular usage.
All this means that the unit is ready to play happily for many years into the future.
Needless to say, the unit operates smoothly and quickly, with no functional issues.
    Remote control included.
Physical condition: very beautiful, no significant scratches on the front or top. But please understand that this is a used product, so if you look closely you will find a few
scratches on the rosewood side panels and minor signs of use. One letter of the text above the "open/close" button is faded.
I have included close up photos so you can judge for yourself!
    Please also understand that all
CD players will skip with smudged/scratched/warped discs or excessive vibration. This player has been tested with a variety of test
discs and has no trouble with any of them, but perfect performance can never be guaranteed for all discs.
