Vintage British Order of the Garter Member Badge | Gold Plated

Description

Listing is for a Vintage British Membership Medal for the Chivalric Order of the Garter.  The motto is set in blue enamel and features a blue garter and reads "Honi Soit Qui Mal y Pense," which is French for "Shamed be whoever thinks bad of it," or the familiar translation of "Shamed on anyone who thinks evil of it."  It was made by Gilding Metal and is gold plated.  Thank you for looking and please check out our other listings.
