Description
From an estate --- this person was collector of scores of different pins from the 1910's - 1940's, this a unique one as it may have come from a German club.I have had a hard time finding the translation of Gesellig
S
keit as noted on the pin as all translation software want to translate it as just Geselligkeit, no S. It translates to 'sociability' or cozy, companion, chummy....you can take that for what it may be assumed. It a neat pin and probably meant a lot to the owner at that time.
This is in nice shape, a dark colored metal and is about 3/4" square with a screw back pin type attachment.
This one maybe dates around 1920-1934 because the history of the Berlin Bear Coat of Arms seems to indicate this Bear Insignia has five pillars spread widely across the top.
Watch my store for many more unique and rare pins, what a great piece of history.
